  • Explore an old gold mine & learn about the regions gold mining history at Thames.
  • Nov-Jan the brilliant red flowers of the Pohutukawa tree (NZ Christmas bush) dominates the coastline.
  • The Karangahake Gorge for stunning walks ranging from 30 mins to 6hrs taking in the gold mining history of the 1800’s.
